Crankshaft and camshaft sensor

VOLTREK crankshaft and camshaft sensors give the control unit engine position and speed for correctly timed ignition and injection.

VOLTREK crankshaft sensor with cable and connector

The crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor tell the control unit where the engine is at every instant. Ignition and injection timing depend on their signal. When one of them fails the engine may not start at all or may cut out without warning.

VOLTREK designs these sensors for a clean signal from cranking speed upwards, resistance to heat, oil and vibration, and cable length and connector that match the original part.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a crankshaft and a camshaft sensor?
The crankshaft sensor measures engine speed and piston position; the camshaft sensor tells the control unit which cylinder is next. Both are used to time ignition and injection.
