EGR valve and EGR cooler

VOLTREK EGR valves and coolers route part of the exhaust gas back into the intake to lower combustion temperature and NOx emissions.

VOLTREK EGR valve and EGR cooler

The EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system returns part of the exhaust gas to the intake manifold. This lowers combustion temperature and therefore the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) the engine produces. The EGR cooler cools the gas before it is recirculated so the effect is stronger.

VOLTREK supplies EGR valves and EGR coolers designed for precise flow control and for resistance to high temperature and soot deposits. The components are intended for direct fitment in place of the original part.

Frequently asked questions

Why does an EGR valve stick?
Exhaust gas carries soot and oil. Over time the deposits harden inside the valve and cooler, the valve sticks and the engine can lose power or switch on the warning light.
